A significant environmental and ecological contribution

The liquid concentrate contained in the Viva bag-in-box allows to dispense up to 100 liters of beverage, with an immediate significant reduction in environmental pollution, caused both by the accumulation of solid wastes and by the everyday transit of delivery trucks carrying bottles and beverage containers.

100 liters of product dispensed through the Viva bag-in-box are equivalent to 66.66 PET bottles of 1.5 liters which, in terms of weight, means 2 kg against 100 kg.Plastic: for both containers about 35 grams. Consequently, per 100 liters of beverage in Viva bag-in-box are enough 35 grams of plastic against 2,333 grams per 100 liters of bottled beverages. The production of 1 kg of plastic requires 1.5 kg of fuel, 17.5 liters of water and generates 2.3 kg of carbon dioxide, 40 grams of hydrocarbons, 25 grams of sulfur oxide, 18 grams of carbon monoxide.
The use of the Viva bag-in-box generates a saving of 98.5% of these consumptions.
To pack 17,000 bottles, equivalent to 25,500 liters of beverage, are required 595 plastic kg against the 8,9 kg needed for the Viva bag-in-box (ratio 1:66).
To carry 17,000 1.5 liters bottles each, corresponding to a fully loaded articulated vehicle, lorry consumes 25 liters of fuel per 100 km; for the same quantity of liters, 255 Viva bag-in-boxes are needed which, in term of volume, means less than 1 pallet and therefore a small van is enough. As a result, fuel consumption decreases by 20 liters per 100 km.
